                  captured 15 of 22 Spanish ships at the Battle of Cape Passaro off
                  Sicily.
                - 1860: The first profitable silver mill in the U.S. began operating
                  in Nevada.
                - 1863: Cambodia became a French protectorate.
                - 1866: The first roller rink opened in Newport, R.I.
                - 1874: Harry S. Parmelee patented the sprinkler head.
                - 1896: Harvey Hubbell patented the electric light bulb socket with
                  a pull chain.
                - 1909: The liner Arapahoe became the first ship to use the
